Monday’s at Hallmark: A Lighter Look at Relationships

Even Hallmark employees have Mondays. Can you imagine having a job where you had to think really happy thoughts all the time? And if not happy thoughts, then thoughts of death? Well IF Hallmark employees could say it (or wirte it), you might see more cards like the following:

My tire was thumping.
I thought it was flat

When I looked at the tire…

I noticed your cat.

Sorry!

Heard your wife left you,
How upset you must be.

But don’t fret about it…

She moved in with me.

Looking back over the years

that we’ve been together,

I can’t help but wonder…

‘What the hell was I thinking?’

Congratulations on your wedding day!

Too bad no one likes your husband.

How could two people as beautiful as you

Have such an ugly baby?

I’ve always wanted to have
someone to hold,

someone to love.

After having met you ...

I’ve changed my mind.

I must admit, you brought Religion into my life.

I never believed in Hell until I met you.

As the days go by, I think of how lucky I am…

That you’re not here to ruin it for me.

When we were together,
you always said you’d die for me.

Now that we’ve broken up,

I think it’s time you kept your promise.

We have been friends for a very long time ..

let’s say we stop?

I’m so miserable without you

it’s almost like you’re here.

I probably went too far to get a laugh but I hope you enjoyed one or two. But, what if relationships were easier? Is that really possible?

I have an idea. What if you were offered the opportunity to host a “group relationship coaching session” where the only people in the session were you and your friends? This could include spouses too. And...it doesn’t matter where you are located. We’d be using a conference phone line for the session (or it could be at your house in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area). As part of the session, each person would receive 25+ pages of personal information about their behavioral style and how they are (or are not) adapting. We’d even create a “group” chart showing everyone’s style.

This could be for a large extended family too! Just think how much more fun the holidays will be if everyone knows much more about each other. You could push their hot buttons so much more easily. Actually, you’ll learn a lot more about how to not push their hot buttons and how to appreciate the sister-in-law or mother-in-law or brother-in-law, etc. You get the idea. If you can appreciate someone then you have at least half a chance of adapting to have a better relationship. The main thing is you will bring happiness and a few good laughs to the relationship.

So if you think that is a pretty cool idea, e-mail me and I’ll make it happen. Cost? Yes, there is a cost per person but it is much less than you might think. and I’ll answer all your questions.
